This Kreuzberg second hand bookstore is located in a very quiet inner (2 hof) courtyard and looks so inviting. When I studied this photo to figure out what gave it that sense, I decided it must be the chairs and table that seemed to beckon readers to sit and rest.
Very inviting, but what I like about it is the variety of textures and lines -- windows, bricks, brick pattern, open door, lines in the chair backs and seats -- and it all comes together in a stellar composition.
