I couldn't sleep so I was awake early early in the morning, and when I looked out the window, the sky was ablaze with color. I grabbed my camera and headed to the beach. I'm never awake at this hour. But maybe I should try it again.
Fav for sure! Was it Adie and Alyssa or another class that met by Lake Michigan for sunrise? I think Vito DiPinto played "Here Comes the Sun King" and we all were at the lake for sunrise.
Many thanks for your kind comments and favs. It makes getting out in the very early hour seem worthwhile. I wonder if the last time I saw the sunrise over water was in my childhood home of Okinawa, decades and decades ago? Perhaps I should try this again.
@pplutz -- I remember that Baker had a school outing to see the sunrise from Lighthouse Beach, but for some reason, I wasn't there. I wonder if the kids all walked from Baker, and I simply went to my office? Sounds like something I'd do, right? But I see now that I should have gone. And if I was there, I have no memory of having been there, which is a scary thought.
Beautiful capture. I've tried to capture the sunrise on Lake Michigan a few times, but clouds always blocked the actual rise from the water. I used to live in Milwaukee, but was not so much into photography back then to get up early enough!
