Arashiyama Bamboo Grove by jyokota

Arashiyama Bamboo Grove

The sound of the bamboo rustling as the wind blows, the many shades of greens through the grove, the feeling of awe at how tall it grows . . .these are my impressions of walking in this bamboo grove each time. Thanks to @Taffy for showing me how to use neutral density filter in post-production processing to help put a little definition in the leaves against the blown out sky.

Check out Michael's photo from last year: http://365project.org/vankrey/365/2013-07-02

PS: months later, I shot an image at Beaver Island, Michigan (USA) that reminded me of Arashiyama: http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2014-08-09

This one is soooo cool! It looks exactly like the posters in the fancy department store in Kyoto. I just linked the one I posted (back on June 8th as a filler for that day) to yours and Michael's.
