low key second attempt

My get-pushed partner, Maddie B @ryanarra2 challenged me to take a low-key black and white photo. This is my second attempt, using a single source of light from above. Tiffany's store window, figure is about 3-4 inches high.

Spotted while on a night photo walk to Old Orchard Shopping Mall with my friend, @jgerber. Processed in Nik Silverefex.

it's a lovely shot, but not low key. Check your histogram. You have tone jammed up against both ends and nothing in the middle. Low key should have almost all tone below the midpoint grey and if any highlights at all, certainly not blown out at the top end. But a lovely high contrast effort though.
