My get-pushed partner challenged me to send her a postcard from Mexico City. Here's an attempt! I learned how to export my photo into a Pages document, add the text, the curlicue design, and select a color from the image to match the photograph. Seeing it posted here, though, I realize I could have made the text a little lighter and larger to be more prominent.
PS What I really wanted to write across the whole image is, "Don't wear perfume to closed-in spaces!" The conference I was attending had the inclusive theme, "May Everyone Really Mean Everyone." But clearly, "everyone" does not include people like me; because of my perfume allergy, I ended up coughing when a heavily perfumed person came and sat in front of me, and I had to leave, and I missed the concert. It included regional folk dancing and spectacular visual elements in the second half, and I could hear the audience oohing and clapping wildly as I sat alone in the hallway outside this orchestra hall.
@julieco -- a rather belated posting of my postcard you challenged me to do! I took the image that week, but I've had too many things going on to sit down and create a postcard. Think of this as a slow-mail delivery postcard! Thanks for the challenge, it was fun to learn how to add lettering and curlicues to my photo. I took this photo from where I was seated before the concert began, before I had to leave.
