Still trying to figure out how to use my new ultra-wide lens. This image makes me feel like I'm being sucked into my backyard. Rather surreal. Note to self: try practicing on a less windy day.
Don't know if it's the new lens, the wind, or what, but do like the effect you got here with the gorgeous red leaves and the corner of the house. It's beautiful.
I took a shot at your suggestion about cropping the dewy weed in portrait form - had been afraid I'd lose too much of the bokeh - but it actually enhanced it. Will try to post the new one this week and see what you think.
Wow, wow, wow. What a wonderfully colourful shot Junko. I've got an ultra-wide lens too, and still very much on L-plates with it. This shot of yours gives me some good ideas to try. Fav

Thank you all for your amazingly positive comments and favs. I must say that I am very surprised! As you saw from my write-up, I posted this and commented myself that I need to learn how to use it. What I had tried to do was to create drama so I shot from the inside of the tree, so that there was part of it under my camera, and part over it, and then I cropped it to HD dimensions (tall and skinny) to emphasize the drama. But then, I saw how unrealistic it looked -- rather surreal and overly something. Still puzzled, rereading your comments to understand, but very very appreciative of your positive responses. Thank you.
