La Pedrera has arches galore -- I captured a lot of them on my last trip there, and this time, I decided to use my "low light lens" which meant having restricted capture, and in this case, I had my 35mm on my camera.
This is one of those times I wonder if my choosing a highly obvious HDR is just too much . . . what do you think? I use Photomatix but considering trying Aurora.
Photomatix has lots of different choices! I think if you have chosen this - then that is what appeals to you! Sometimes I think the softer versions are better!
Personally, I think your processing works very well Junko, it shows all the smaller details to best advantage. I'm a fan of HDR (why not use all your captured data?) so it wouldn't worry me anyway. I've been using Aurora for a little while now and consider it much better than Photomatix and I haven't even used it to its full capacity yet.
Love the gentle sweep of all the lines - it's interesting to look at both versions - Taffy's b&w and your color - both have so much going for them. The detail is just amazing.
I like the HDR and don't think it's over the top. It's been great to see your photos of these amazing works of art and architecture and to contrast them with Taffy's. You two are quite a team. I've enjoyed seeing Barcelona
with you.
I think this was a beautiful HDR outcome! Understated (I don't think I would have thought HDR) but was able to bring out the textures in brick. Love the arching lines!!
This didn't immediately shout SDR to me and it makes the brickwork details clear in a way that Taffy's B&W doesn't - hers is more figurative. This is a Fav for me. @taffy
Love the lines and textures in this shot... the HDR brings out the textures and the colors of the brick very nicely. I have really enjoyed seeing Barcelona through your lens. Happy New Year to you and your husband, Junko. Looking forward to some fun photo opps in 2016! :)
with you.
