Stools on a Tabletop, Bicycles in the Studio?

Taffy and I went on the Ravenswood Art Walk and were thoroughly fascinated by the workshop area. This one is for ceramic artists, and I was struck by seeing the unexpected images of stools on tabletop, bicycle indoor.

Taffy's take on the stools, up close: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2016-09-12
Great image! It looks like they have been doing the cleaning with the stools on the table. Lots of details in your shot.

I have seen Taffy's shot and they both look good in b&w. Yours shows a wider spectrum of the studio while Taffy concentrates on the stools in hers. Beautiful capture.

Obviously a working studio.

Just went to curriculum night and the stools not in use were on top of the tables. No bikes, though. I think it helps with cleaning? Love the comp and bw

@pamknowler @sangwann @allie912 @darylo -- thanks for your comments! Daryl, you are probably right about the help with cleaning, but in Japan, they would put the seat part on the table, rather than the leg part that has dirty feet, as that puts the dirty floor part on top of the working surface.

interesting shot and comments ... You are so right about the seat part should be on the table!

@jyokota yes, ours were with seat down (thankfully)!

Where as Taffy's shot has a feeling of disuse, yours is the total opposite, it looks and feels like a work space!
