Chinatown Teashop

Michael showed us a teashop that had been around forever, and I immediately wanted tea; but who could resist? We had dim sum as well.
Love how you've captured the timeless feel to this place! And the dim sum, not just any dim sum, but absolutely delicious!

How cool that you and Taffy are in New York City! Such a fantastic place for photos. Great capture of the tea shop! Makes me want to order in right now. Also, Thanks so much for contacting me! It made me realize that I do miss 365 and need to get it together and get back on!

@redy4et -- hooray! I would have been sad to see your album disappear because I enjoy going back through favorite images of which you have had many beautiful ones. Do you know what happened to @thirdjoe ?

I love the cluttered-but-organised look of the shop. The choice of deep dof seems to enhance that look

This definitely has that retro feel with that old dresser in the corner. Nice to know it's original. It must be a good place to stop for tea!

looks more like a lab than a coffee shop!

Oh yummo, I do love dim sum. I love this shot too, you've captured a very welcoming feel to the place.

@jyokota Love this charming place, Junko! Are we talking "Chicago" here? You and Taffy are tough to nail down as we might not always know from where you're posting! ha! As for Joe, I *heard* he's trying to sell some of his work. I'll make a point of getting back in touch with him as he's a great guy and we shouldn't let him (or Osia) get away completely! Ron and I are discussing a train trip from SD to Union station, 365ers getting on along the way, so perhaps they'd join us then...thinking late April.

@Weezilou -- please pass along my greetings to Joe and Osia, @Taffy and I were just wondering where they'd gone and missing seeing their photos. Elizabeth is back! What a great idea -- a 365 train! I'm open April 26 - 27, and then I'm in town after that but I have a coauthor visiting and our plan is to write write write so I don't know how much time I would have available after she arrives on April 28. I'm also planning to be in town April 14 - 22. Let us know what you decide to do!
March 7th, 2017
@Weezilou Oh, and this was taken in NYC and Michael Elliott took us here for dimsum.

@jyokota I can see no better reason to schedule for the 26th or 27th than the fact you'll be in town! I will soon send out a mass mailing as I think it would be such great fun! You and I will also need to have a chat about where you'll be staying while here (your hs homestay family?) as we'd love to have you come for a visit at least! Let's continue to be in touch by email! I'm really happy about this news!

@Weezilou -- so sorry, my confusion, I thought you were coming to Chicago Union Station! I have no specific plan to be in California soon but I hope to some time before too long.
March 7th, 2017
Whoops...and I was *just* making the list! Do let me/us know when you DO come out here, and if the group can go up on those dates (which look really good to me!) I think you set the plan in motion!
