A wonderful tour of southern Iceland, seeing beautiful waterfalls, gorgeous landscape all around, and glaciers. Here's one with a rainbow (and a double behind it).
Taffy's version, with a much more articulated waterfall here: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2017-03-19
Lesson learned from reading Taffy's exif file: faster shutter speed because on a waterfall like this, going for silky water isn't going to fare well anyway.
Oh wow, two for the price of one, what Aussies call a 'twofer'. Lovely contrasts between the apparent softness of the waterfall and bright colours of the rainbows and the harsh monotone textures of the rocks.
I would think Iceland would be a fabulous place to visit though a little on the cool side if their weather is anything like ours. This would be a great shot to have in anyone's project.
Nice - I think the reason that this has a very different feel is that this is a picture of the rainbow whereas Taffy's is a picture of the waterfall @taffy
Wonderful image, great rainbow, I shot this waterfall with long exposure early in the morning and it gave a great effect. Shooting midday a fast shutterspeed is probably the best. Did you climb up to the viewpoint?
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs! When Taffy said, "You're TT 17" I had no clue what code she was using and what she meant. What a thrill, and so nice to share our Iceland trip with all of you. It's truly a photographer's paradise, and if you come, you must travel with our guide, Pall. He's simply the best.
