Making Breakfast on the Street

I went on a street photography walk in Shanghai, on a street where the stores were making breakfast and serving to lines of people walking down the street on their way to work or people living in the neighborhood. There were some tables on the sidewalk, but not nearly as many as used to fill the side streets 23 years ago when I first came to China.

I was in China five years ago and I really enjoyed the cookshops in the streets. Once I ate there deep-fried grasshopper. There were also offered maggots, scorpions and snakes.
