Oliver Poses with Spring Forsythia

Forsythia marks the arrival of spring, and every year, my husband would cut branches to put on the table in the kitchen and some to take to his office. Oliver (named by Lee @gamelee ) poses nicely, not begging. Just realized the soft look comes from shooting through the screen of my back porch.
Awww. What a loving portrait...the soft focus really makes it look so friendly and soft.

Gorgeous with the forsythia...one of my favorite plants. Good luck with the lensbaby. It always left me wishing the focused area was a bit biggger. The glow is nice but I’d like to see at least his face all in focus

nice memories, but perhaps a little sad too . the slight blur is very nice here and suits the sentiment

Oliver is becoming a very famous squirrel and is learning to pose perfectly.

Quite the little star isn't he? Lovely forsythia too.

@jgpittenger that's what I keep thinking too -- I got his eye and his neck but if I had time to work on it before he ran off I would have moved the focus more to his eye and nose. My guess is that I will use this lens for flower photography which is what Bill got it for me to do at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
