The Silver Revere Fountain by jyokota

The Silver Revere Fountain

I ordered a bird fountain because I read that birds are attracted to moving water, especially hummingbirds. I intended to put it in the bird bath but it was too shallow (it has a heating element in the center that makes it bulge up). I needed something that was deep enough that the water wouldn't all splash out quickly so I looked all around the house for an appropriate container and only came up with a silver bowl that had been a wedding gift, stamped "reproduction Paul Revere bowl" -- and I can't think of a better use for it, can you? I think the shiny silver attracts birds, too.
Oh that's lovely and I'm sure the birds appreciate it

You sure put it to good use, happy birds, photographer and followers. Love the water splashes and shiny silver. The birds can maybe see themselves in it too ;-)

Oh my! I knew this was a Revere silver bowl before I read your title and story. It’s is absolutely perfect! Could not have a better use, really.

The very perfect water container....bet it’s the most it’s ever been used & appreciated! Hope the giver thinks you’ve used it wisely!!
I love it & the birds do too!

The birds love the two birdbaths we have in the backyard. I've seen them waiting their turn on occasion.

I tried a deep bowl to contain the splatter and birds seemed intimidated by it. Perfect use for this wedding present

I like that idea. It would never work in my yard because of my cat. I put my bird bath on top of an inverted tomato cage, so that it would fall over if my cat tried to get to it.

I bet the birds like the shiny bowl. I find it entertaining when a bird sees it's own reflection.
