1/8000 Sand Blowing by jyokota

1/8000 Sand Blowing

I experimented with movement, because the sand was blowing wildly. I decided to lie down in the sand and shoot as if I was seeing this distant view at eye level. I used my long lens at nearly 300mm. This one was shot at 1/8000 so the sand was frozen in the air, despite the high wind.
Love those suspended particles. Delightful

Rich detail… I can’t imagine shooting in those conditions. You must have has a pretty high ISO to shoot at such a fast shutter speed.

Well done! I tried similar shots today in the wind with sand blowing. Mine weren't worth the effort. This is great.
