Reading the names gave me much pause. The Japanese names representing stories I had heard about from my family in Japan. The women whose names were joined with "her unborn child." The range of ethnically specific names showing the diversity of people who lost their lives. The many, many, many names. They are cut out of metal, allowing flowers to be embedded.
The water falling into the fountain seem to represent a veil of tears.
