Grow

I have walked past these flowers on my daily walk a few times. The first day I never really thought much about them. I was tired and cranky and trying to adjust to working a crazy in the middle of the night driving shift. On the second day I kind of paid them a little more attention and thought they were really pretty. By the third day I realized just how amazing they really were. In the most difficult of situations that are probably the most unideal here these flowers were blooming and showing how life can be done. Even in the most difficult times we can shine and stand out. Made me think that if these litte flowers could make my day brighter just imagine how much brighter someones day could be if we all just smiled at each other. We never really know how much difference we can make in the life of another living being. Just a smile could mean the difference between someone making it through the day...or even making it to another day. Be kind to everyone you encounter. You just never know what is happening in their life. They say we are all in this virus together. Yes we are but for each of us it is very different. Our ability to cope with isolation and distancing is very different. I heard someone say we are all in the same boat. We are not. Our boats are all different. Some are much larger than we need. Some are much smaller than we need. Others may have holes in them and are struggling to stay afloat. Although I am missing my family and friends I feel blessed to have a warm place to sleep, food on the table and a job to go to that gives me purpose. Stay safe everyone. Keep well.
What a good perspective on these days. I agree that this pandemic experience is very different for each of us. We need to seek out those spots of color in our days.
