Chimney Roost by k9photo

Chimney Roost

As we approached our driveway there were black vultures perched atop our chimney as well as others on the street lamp post and on our neighbor's roof.
A bit creepy but an interesting capture!

Terrific capture, especially with that one wing out. Did you know that a group of vultures in flight is called a kettle, but if perched they are a committee? I work a lot with committees and find this endlessly amusing.

Wow. We get the occasional pigeon or seagull on our chimney. This is quite a sight.

Terrific shot Kate... I remember when the beautiful peacock landed on the roof... he was much prettier that these guys. I love the pose you captured here.

I like the way the birds are inserted into the tree background, especially between two small trunks going upwards to an open sky zone that you have kept in the frame. That provides some movement in the image. I also like the posture of the two birds, it is almost a Valentine picture.
