Margo's challenge was something along the lines of " take a shot that in choice of subject matter, style and/or treatment is completely juxtaposed to that which would normally give you pleasure and solace ; we somehow distilled this down to doing something outlandish and daring!
This put me in mind of the self portraits of Frida Kahlo, it is said that she painted herself neither uglier nor more beautiful than she really was, I think that is rather daring
