Karearea- distinguished visitor

Wonderful to see a New Zealand native bush falcon, the Karearea, fly past and pose at the top of the pinetrees today, a fully zoomed and cropped pic hence low quality but i dont mind, just pleased to get a shot of it. We usually see the bigger Australian Harrier Hawks, te Karearea are a more rare sight.

It is always lovely to see our native birds
I had a fantail in my garden the other day.. I love how they flit.... i was happy it stayed in the magnolia tree......
