Caroline gave me the prompt 'addiction' for get -pushed this week, I have to admit i am addicted to 365, and not euphemistically either, you may have noticed me here all hours of the day and night, my thoughts are preoccupied with it, at the expense of my cooking and household chores..(heck i nearly burnt my pear and ginger jam while i was faffing with this shot, and i am having visitors this evening and still havent done the vacuuming and here i am talking to you. . my relationships suffer, i am told i am distant, and realise i have been thinking about photos.and conversations with you all here... that little loving red notifications folder and its dopamine hit keep me coming back, its my zone out thing when everything gets too much. even when i turn my computer off it tugs at me... oh dear. I need a 12 step program...but i dont think i am ready to give up
Well seen and executed. My favorite 12 step program is the shortest one. Just say 'Grant me the serenity to accept my identity'. Then, as they say in basketball 'No harm, no foul'. And you're done.
My challenge is for you to look at this artists work and try and recreate something inspired by it. He is particularly known for his use of contrast and juxtaposition. Hope this is ok , let me know if not as I have some other ideas :)
And here we are, your Support Group, who are gathered with you because we all are addicted in the same way! Like you, we're unwilling to give up this addiction as we tell everyone it's one of those "healthy addictions" though my backside is spreading for the hours I spend in this chair at my computer! I echo every word you said, and it brings me back to the beginning when I started here. I read, "Carry your camera with you at all times; never leave home without out it". ...And so it began...
Sums up this community perfectly. I found a home for my artist soul when I happened into this 365 community. I am right there with you. I learned so much and found courage to explore, fail and try again.
I have a question for you - This 3rd year for me is one of pushing myself. I am seriously considering asking those who view my work (at least for the first week of March) to give me their input into what they think would improve or do differently. This community is basically a force of support and I do not want to change, just looking to push myself some more.
Ah well I'm glad you are not ready to give up, as you pretty much keep me going! If it weren't for 5+2 I would have taken a break, which would make me sad... I don't comment often enough on people's beautiful shots, I miss it - I will get back into it eventually. It's a funny relationship!
