losing my marbles / changing the fear to love

Smitha asked me to do a collage to tell a story.
Well this is the story of my week, a bizarre and very intense episode. apparently I am potassium deficient.
but I have a new understanding and compassion for those suffering from so-called mental illness which I feel is very often a spiritual disjunct crisis ( I made that up). without good guides and helpers it is a very scary business to be knocked off your rocker and lose your grounding in 'reality'

my camera has to go to the canon hospital, which is forcing a reassessment of my 365 project participation for the moment.. I hope to post occasionally and keep up my 5+2 contributions, but I may not be around quite so much for a little while.
much love
take care, Kali. get much rest and recuperation. You are a very creative spirit.....

Wow! So this is how you felt when you were having that deficiency? Scary! Sorry about your camera being gone. You should shoot with something else, if you have anything.

Where's your camera?

I hope that you find and keep your balance... both mental and spiritual! I'm sorry that you have to be without your camera for a while. Hopefully it will come home very quickly!

I know that cell phone cameras aren't always the best, but if you really feel the need to shoot pics, they do in a pinch!

Do get back to full strength soon, but give yourself as much time as you need. We will be here when you are ready. Your talent is great and your compassion appreciated. A friend with pottassium deficiency was told to eat minimum one banana a day, she finds two every day helps. xx

Take care and get better

Hope you feel better soon, Kali! Take care!

Awesome collage Kali. I really like the photo on the right. How did you accomplish it?
April 10th, 2014
It's got a name now, that makes it less frightening I think. Take care!

You are very talented and that won't be suppressed! However the body may need a little care so keep well!
April 10th, 2014
These are both great shots. Hope you and your camera are both soon better and that you can come back full time to the 365 eventually.

pretty fucking intense, especially that second one. potassium helps our bodies cohere at all, as groups of organic cells, and is also vital for neuronal firing and happy brains, among other things. i hope you are on the road to having a more sufficient amount, and that you dont feel obligated to spend more time on here than you have the health for. your creativity doubtlessly endures and ferments even when you arent posting or stalking about with your camera.

powerful

@espyetta @ubiquitybutsomewhatdownsized the potassium is a red herring, sometimes there is not physical cause for our experiences, but it manifests in our physical bodies regardless

@photohoot still with me as yet but it needs fixing, thankfully warranty will cover it, when i am well enough to arrange it

@kali66 interesting take! i feel like the physical and non-physical are BOTH metaphorical manifestations and that we can look to either one to try to find a more abstract and meaningful understanding of our experiences. i mentioned those two things about potassium because i felt they were symbolically pertinent (consolidated personhood, community, and life interaction). i have faith youll feel better in time.

Fantastic images, love the dark tones. Do hope you are feeling better.

I hope you feel better and you are reunited with your camera.

This is a very moving collage. With a talent like yours I am sure you could manage masterful shots with a shoebox. Hope your Canon is better soon.
