I had heard what I took to be chain saws at work, and today went to investigate. Sure enough, here was the evidence! It looks as though there were three old oak trees along this path that were not exactly sound and sturdy......with the high winds we have had lately a wise move cutting them down I think. I wonder what they will do with the wood?
