T-Bucket

Memorial Day in Rhode Island brings antique cars from around the northeast to Johnston Memorial Park for a large "cruise day." While wandering amount the cars, I spotted a 1923 Model T Ford "T-Bucket" Hotrod. Today's photo shows the rather stylish hood ornament on the car. Now, to be clear, Ford did not make hotrods in 1923! The design of the Model T, however, was perfect for conversion in later years. Transformation of the Model T into hotrods started in the 1930s, but the T-Bucket concept, design, and name dates to 1952 and is attributed to actor and car enthusiast Norm Grabowski. The car was featured in the series "77 Sunset Strip" from 1958 to 1964. The T-Bucket style hot rod is still a popular conversion today.

Post processing today was quite minimal. I applied a photo pop filter in Topaz Adjust. Back in PSE I adjusted the levels slightly for contrast, and applied a slight saturation adjustment.
