Crabbing

I stopped at this boat ramp parking area on Hundred Acre Cove in Barrington intending to get a photo of The White Church to use as a black and white. Instead, I spotted this woman crabbing off the docks and immediately changed my plans. She had a half dozen blue crabs in her cooler already, and was working two lines in the hopes of catching a few more. She comes out here several times each week because she finds it very relaxing. I can understand why. It's a beautiful setting and it's a very quiet spot during the week. As to the crabs, well she gives most of them away, she said, but keeps a few to boil for herself.

Post processing started with a brilliant cold filter in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted the adaptive exposure, adaptive saturation, strength, and contrast sliders. In PSE I added a levels adjustment and then cropped the image for a tighter composition.
