With just a hint of clouds starting to roll in, I decided to head to the Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge in Bristol for this shot of the boardwalk over the marsh. The winter sun cast a very dark, pronounced shadow that added to the appeal of the setting. The tall marsh grass on either side is always attractive, but I find it especially so this time of year when it takes on that amber hue.
Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted the adaptive exposure, contrast, and adaptive saturation sliders. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
