For today's photo, I returned to Roger Williams Park in Providence. There's a section of road along one of the rivers that is under construction and I took advantage of that to find a place to park that was out of the way. It turns out that the section that's blocked off right now has become very popular with walkers and runners. Positioning myself with a good view of the old Bandstand and some colorful autumn trees as a background, i simply waited for a walker to stride by. It wasn't a long wait. As you can see, I opted to deviate from my lengthy black and white streak in order to show the brilliant fall colors that are developing locally.
Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
@tryingforsighs Thanks, Rachel. It's funny; for years I tried to avoid having anyone in my photos. I felt like they detracted from the overall scene. Once I discovered street photography, though, my entire perspective changed.
