Dam at Butterfly Pond

Still not feeling all that great, so I decided to visit a favorite "safety shot" location fairly close to home. There was enough water flowing over the dam at Butterfly Pond to make an interesting scene. Of interest were the large bubbles in the water, thanks to the pine resin seeping into the pond from the nearby evergreens. The dam is a lasting remnant of an early 19th century grist mill that stood on this site.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE
