Spatter

For this afternoon's photo, I decided to visit Willett Pond. There's a solitary basketball hoop in the corner of the parking lot that may make an interesting composition, and that was my objective. My eyes were constantly drawn to this trash can, though. The odd paint spatter patterns were most curious, and it looks like the spatter is intentional. It begged for a photo. The hoop will have to wait for another day.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
