This baby Robin was pointed out to me by a resident at one of the Retirement Communities I work at. Supposedly he fell out of his nest. I have no idea how he ended up on the arm of an iron patio chair, but this appears to be his new "nest." His mother feeds him right here and he never steps out of place. Poor little thing. I'm hoping he makes it!
Lovely shot, but the young robins leave the nest at that age and they are fed outside the nest by the parents for a while, so it looks quite normal to me
@khirsch Thanks, Karin. I guess I'd never seen this before. The baby robin was on that chair for six hours, even with people milling around him. It appeared he couldn't move, even if he wanted to. So, hopefully this is just part of his growing up process and he'll be getting around on his own soon!
@kareenking I hope so, but maybe he wasn't moving waiting for the adults to fed him and the adults wouldn't dare because of the peple around. So he definately picked the wrong place to sit and wait
