Meadowlark Meditation

I actually drove down the same road today as I did yesterday and captured a Meadowlark in virtually the same spot! This time he wasn't singing. But, the coloring on the fence post wasn't as washed out as yesterday. So he's nicely color coordinated with his surroundings.

This is a cool capture, too, but frankly, I thought it was nice that the coloring on the fence was more subdued than the bird's feather colors in yesterday's shot. It really helped the bird stand out against that stark background. Both of them are wonderful, though.
