Although this sure looks like a Northern Harrier... the white rump patch makes me think that ... they have owl-like faces.... I could be wrong....

I am almost certain this is a Northern Harrier. They are one of my favorite birds of prey....

Harriers have black wing-tips like that ... I have seen lots of harriers and that's what I am thinking...

The cool thing is ... immature harriers and females are brown... males are grey ... you can tell the immature and females apart from the males which is hard to do in almost all other species of birds of prey.
