Although this sure looks like a Northern Harrier... the white rump patch makes me think that ... they have owl-like faces.... I could be wrong....

The cool thing is ... immature harriers and females are brown... males are grey ... you can tell the immature and females apart from the males which is hard to do in almost all other species of birds of prey.
