My favorite caterpillar (shhhh, don't tell the others lol)
The 'eyes' are not real eyes but rather eyespots to make them look much like a snake so the birds don't try to eat them. His real eyes are towards the bottom of his face, where his mouth is as well.
These little critters spend the day in a rolled up leaf to hide from birds and other predators and comes out at night to feed on the leaves of the plant. They spin silk on the leaf and fold it over on themselves.
