Setting a Flight Course

Surprised to see the Cormorants haven't all headed south for the winter.
At least they're pointing in the right direction.
They left here this autumn, but we saw them at Niagara Falls in September. I don't know where they go.

Love that pose they do and how you've captured it. I can almost smell the salt air.

@janeandcharlie I went back and saw your pics of N Falls. I've visited many times and still enjoy it. Glad you made it across the border. Cormorants winter in Mexico and Bahamas.

@seattlite Thanks Gloria. It was a windy, cool day so I didn't stay long.

They look cold enough to head south soon!

You capture the chilly feel of the air and the last few cormorants waiting to leave for warmer climes.

Just need a kick.

The one on the left looks rather indecisive as to which direction he should be pointing.

@teiko Not to challenge your olfactory but this is Lake Simcoe in Ontario. It's a large lake so it does look like the sea.

@radiogirl Definitely wasn't sunning himself.

@yaorenliu They might kick back.

@bkbinthecity @joemuli @taffy Temperatures are forecast to drop tonight. There's plenty of minnows so I guess there's no rush.
