This is Pal's known for their tea, hot dogs, hamburgers and frenchie fries. In the past I posted a picture of a mural telling about it. When my children visit they go first to Pals on arriving and again as the leave. The inset picture is a large flag that flies over the building.
Its a really great capture and the colours and tones are ace: but the place itself looks vibrantly obscene with the two massive plastic icons of heart disease!
@paul2782 Haha! Thats ok my husband is a cardiologist he can help all of the patrons. This is the south, a part of the country that eats biscuits, gravy and fries most healthy vegetables.
OH WHAT a GREAT Fun Shot! NOW I want a Burger and Fries. -- Pal's is going to want to purchase this for their advertisement :) -- hehehe
Nice fun shot!
Very colourful shot Kathy - The blue sky really sets off the building and the flag. I read somewhere that yellow & red are used to advertise food as the colours make you hungry. I always have to have a foot long coney from Sonic when I'm in the States.
@shirleytemple Shirley Thanks for your kind words. When I was pregnant I craved Pal's hot dogs. Interesting about the color red and yellow. Pal's is smart they use yellow and red in their advertising. They have also won prestigious awards on how efficient and professional they are.
Great color! I must admit I eat there at least once a week. It's cheap, fast and consistant. And the old original Pals is a block from my work. You have captured a southern icon!!
I've never heard of it, but it looks like a fun place to eat! :-) I haven't had a hot dog in over 2 years, and probably haven't even thought about them in at least a year....but now I WANT one. LOL
Your husband sure picked the right part of the country in which to set up practice...fried food and gravy. ;-)
I was curious about the prior mural you posted, so I went back through your album and found it. Somehow I missed it back then. I also found Star, the abandoned dog. I had forgotten about that sweet pup. How is she doing?
