Thank you so much for your comments and fav's on the photo - Two are better than one - It means so much coming from you all who are such gifted photographers. I am learning so much from everyone.
@kaarina365@calm Thanks guys for your encouragement. After looking for a while I think this is a young cardinal ( a teenager) That is why the feathers look frumpy.
@tremerryn Thanks so much. This is a male Cardinal or some call it a Red Bird, The bird next to it is still very young and I think it is a male just getting his adult feathers. They are song birds and can live 15 years.
Great shot...and I have learned much from you! Is one a female and one a male? (the male being the prettiest?) Great capture....they look posed. FAV Kathy!
@eyesmile Thanks so much Gena. I think the dark red one is a male and the frumpy one is his son! Haha! The lighter ones looks like he still has baby feathers and his adult feathers are just coming in. Not positive though.
You certainly have been getting pictures of pairs lately! Another great capture and focus. They certainly are beautiful, though not quite as red as they are here in winter.
Oh dear, those awkward teenage years are so difficult to live through. ;-) Soon he'll be as handsome as dad.
I like how something has the attention of both of them.,
So Sharp and great color!
