Praying Mantis

I always thought these guys were so sweet because they pray. But after reading about them they are skilled predators! I thought he was posing for me because he liked me, but now I think he was sizing me up to see if he could take me. Haha!

Awesome shot! I love these guys. When I was in high school we watched a video on them and i'm sure I was mad at my boyfriend at the time so I started laughing when the video got to the part where the female bites off the head of the male after mating and the whole class looked at me like I was psycho! LOL
