My sister found a box of quilting tops in my dads belongings. There must have been about 7 or 8 in the box. There was also a note with them from my great-grandmother to my grandmother. It was dated 1931 the year my dad was born . There Were just enough to go around for me, my 3 kids, my sister and niece. My sister surprised us at Christmas with the quilts and told us the story of finding them with the note.
So this quilt is one of my prized possessions. When I look at it I feel connected to my heritage and I feel “love”.
