Looks like those are mostly fruit. Ferocactus wislizeni, Arizona barrel cactus. Great desert scene!

It's flowering! I love it....when I went to Arizona it was Spring and I thought there would be lots of cacti flowering but I didn't see any. Do you know what time of year they actually do flower?

@wac I think that it is a barrel cactus! Rob says it is and he usually knows.

@bugik :) There are some huge ones right outside my apartment complex. This is a barrel cactus, I think, and they are little if compared the saguaro cacti.
