Oh how I love the desert tortoises! Mine loved cantaloupe and plums but I never thought to feed them watermelon! Clearly he loves it!

@kerristephens That was just along the lines of fruit... Have you added tofu? Great vegetable protein! And call me silly, but I steamed broccoli flowerettes for them (i think they liked the pumped up flavor...) and they adore the stamens of Hibiscus! Must be sweet! Have fun...I finally passed mine along to a friend who had some and really dotes on them...I had to pay a lot of attention to them because of the pool and the gardeners with the grass-whipper things twho might not have paid good attention!

@Weezilou My mom feeds him Hibiscus and broccoli, as a treat, but I don't think we ever thought to give him tofu. My Dad loves that tortoise.
