Trees

Today I am thankful for...

1. Google translate. It allows me to write with our cousins in Poland. I understand a lot of Polish, but trying to write it can be slow and difficult - as one word can have so so many endings and choosing the right one is difficult. Google translate gives me another tool and layer to help me write to them and share our lives with each other.

2. For the beautiful trees that live on our land. They have so many different textures and colours. They provide us with oxygen that we need to breathe and shade for our animals. They also provide homes for much of the wildlife that roams our property and a place for the birds that sing such beautiful melodies for us to listen too. They are a windbreak from the wind that often rolls up our valley and when they decide they no longer need to stand up and fall from grace, they provide us with wood for our heating. Thankyou for all that you give, provide and do for us. I am truly thankful.

3. My hearing. I love being able to hear things such as the birds singing of a morning, the sweet sound of the animals in our yard and also the laughter and chatter of the people I love. But I also appreciate the silence that sneeks its way into parts of my day, providing me with the ability to hear the sound of silence.
Beautifully written Wendy, you have a wonderful way with words. Love all your lovely trees too.

After reading Diana’s comment now I know your name. So, Wendy, I am once again inspired by the things you are thankful for. :)

@ludwigsdiana @jb030958 for some time now, Diana's posts have brought an extra smile to my face when I read her comments. I am not sure where she got the name Wendy from, but I decided to just go with the flow. My real name however is Keren 😊😊❤️😁. Diana you can still call me Wendy, I don't mind :)

We have many trees next to us as well and even though they block some of our beautiful sunrises and sunsets, there are times when I love having them on the property too. I especially love the sound of the wind blowing through them and the birds who dot them every morning with songs and activity. Pretty shot!

I love your words as much as your photo. A good reminder to all of us to appreciate the beauty around us every day.

Love your thankful comments there. I echo all of them and would add I am grateful for modern hearing aids that enable me to still hear the birdsong and the natural silence in nature again which would otherwise be lost to me. Lovely image.
