Today has been an extremely tough day, but I continue to look for the positives and push forward in order to continue to stand tall.
Today I am thankful for...
1. The email I received from the lady who did my interview last week. She sent it ahead of the one HR sends out when they notify you that you have been unsuccessful. This lady did not have to send me an email, she did not have to explain to me why I was not given the job and she certianly did not have to tell me that she encourages me to seek further opportunities when they arise and ask me to put my name down for the reilief register. Apparently they narrowed the job down to four applicants, and they struggled with their decision. I respect that I did not get the job and I am so excited for the person who did (They disclose their name when they notify you that your application has been unsuccessful). I have known this person for over 10 years and admire them and know that they are a fabulous fit for the job. The universe has spoken, and this was not my time :)
2. For my 20 acres. It gives me the ability to find my own space when I need it. There are so many wonderful places I can go and just be. Tonight was one of those days, where I enjoyed being able to do this.
3. Chocolate Cake. I do not eat it very often, but when I needed it most, it was there for me, smothered in rich dark icing and swimming in thickened cream. - delicious :)
This photo is so beautiful. Flowers bring us such joy, don’t they?! I am sorry to hear about the job that you were seeking, but I feel sure that there is something better on the horizon for you. Your writing is fabulous – I always look forward to your posts.
