1. 24 hours in the day - feeling like it's 48 hours. I have had such a jam packed day, getting ready for my last 'Hoorah' tomorrow. I have achieved so much and feel ready to hand over the batten to next in line. Onwards and upwards they say, and don't look back.
2. The opportunity to be there, for a friends Mother. We had never met before, but today I had the opportunity to step up and connect with her and her family in a more meaningful way. Their pain and suffering is immense and my heart goes out to them. However the beautiful unexpected opportunity it opened up for me to support this Mum and her family, and be there in the most unexpected way, is priceless.
3. Life itself. I am thankful for the opportunity to listen to those close to me grumble, watch the same TV show for the 10th time with my daughter and be called upon a dozen times to help out my children, when I am busy trying to meet a deadline. For all these things mean that I still have the opportunity to give them a hug, tell them I love them and stand back and smile as I watch them all grow. Today I was reminded to hold my loved one's close, as you never know when the ride will end - and for that I am truly thankful.
