1. The sound of rain drops on our rooftop. The rain is here and it has managed to cut through the intensely hot day and evening we had endured today. Tasmania actually experienced one of it's hottest days on record - a sweltering 41 Degrees Celsius. They say our weekend should be cooler and I hope they are right.
2. The excitement in my daughters voice. She was eager to tell me all about her evening at work (she had a 7 1/2 hour shift). She chattered about it for over 30 minutes on the way home. She has only had a few shifts, but it is evident that she is starting to embrace her little job.
3. The weekend ahead. For the first time in a long time, I am eager to get in the kitchen and do some cooking.
