Wimpole Folly

We visited Wimpole Hall today and walked through the gardens. In the distance is a folly ruin located on the grounds.

The folly is designed to resemble the ruins of a medieval castle and was built by Capability Brown. The ruins stretch for two hundred feet in length, and include the four-storey Gothic tower that you can see here.
I'd like to live in a folly!

Bril photo! Love the autumnal colours starting to come through on the leaves & the cows in the foreground. Also how the eye is drawn up the picture by the field (sorry thats not very eloquent, but its been a long day!!)

Intricate and weaving scene. Looks like a Victorian painting. Classic CB.
