Dicentra spectabilis

Bleeding heart. I'd never heard of these until I saw a photo of them on 365. Liked them so much I went out and bought one for my garden.
Nice shot :)

Beautiful Francoise, they are also called Lady In A Bath, if you turn them upright and pull the little arms apart a bit, they look like a lady having a bath, Try it.

@denisedaly Thanks Denise - yes, I do love them. They are just so unusual.

Beautiful... hmmm, wonder if they grow here?

@ssimon Thanks. Google them - I see that there are some nurseries selling them in Australia, but not sure if they are near you. I've seen photos of white ones and red ones too.

I planted one in my parent's garden when I was a teenager plus a white one as well. I love them. One day I will be in a place where I can grow them again. Fav.

@thirtysevenways Thanks for the Fav. I'm keeping an eye open for a white one - only seen them in photos. I think you can also get a darker pink/red one.
