Christ Church Cathedral by kiwiflora

Christ Church Cathedral

Three years on - the remains of Christ Church Cathedral. The 'cone' on the right hand side is The Chalice, constructed in aluminium with cut-out shapes of native tree leaves. Built to celebrate the millennium and the 150th anniversary of Christchurch.

Can't believe its 3 years! It looks a big job to complete but a lovely church. What's the sculpture?? in the background?

That's a long time...three years. What a lovely church. And the Chalice will certainly be a unique addition.
