This old nail box has been my best building buddy for over 26 years. It has boosted my height for all manner of building tasks from painting to holding the 'other end of whatever' was required at the time. My scariest moment was standing on this box which was precariously balanced on a half built deck way above the ground. I was holding onto the 2nd floor roof guttering at the time. Did I mention I have a fear of heights? Hubby said it was really no worse than standing on it on the ground - easy for him to say! It is a miracle I survived and so has the box. Needless to say health and safety rules weren't so stringent back then. I'm happy to say it is due for retirement as am I.
