I used a filter - the rain-lashed window - and the CPL. I wasn't taking my camera into the gale force wind and rain. The creek came a metre or so up the bank and deposited piles of driftwood. Luckily not as much damage as the West Coast and Nelson copped though. Just a couple of branches of the pear trees.
i discovered most of our pears were on the ground this morning, so an easy pick! it was rather a hectic day, the tide came tens of metres past where it usually does but we are about 500m from the shore so it didnt affect us directly.
