Catching the sunrise pinking up the Pelorus Sound. I had forgotten how lovely this view is in the early morning since I retired a coupe of years ago. However having been tempted back into the workforce for just a few weeks, I am rediscovering the pros and cons of early morning starts! My ten week stint is almost at an end but it has been interesting. I haven't lost all my marbles it would seem.
Haha - the bonus of knowing your work stint is going to end!! I retired a few years ago but don't think I could be tempted back, but With a view like this you never know! Fav
Good to know you still have it, whatever it is but comforting! Sometimes when you e retired it feels like the world has pushed you off the treadmill! I always am glad I've got up early & say I should do so all the time! You miss so much early loveliness staying in bed.
@lyndamcg I didn't think I could or would go back either but it was cool to be invited - and to realise I hadn't forgotten everything! And of course the financial rewards will come in handy for our upcoming trip to Europe and Sweden at the end of the month..... Now if I can just find time to organise the accommodation, currencies and packing.
@farmreporter Thanks Wendy - yes I do have another few work days booked but then we are off to the northern hemisphere for some warmth and family time.
@happypat I agree it did feel a bit like a treadmill at the time but it is amazing how it feels when you know there is a finite time for working the second time around. I have really enjoyed getting the brain cells working again and meeting the people. I need to stay in the early morning habit (sometimes but maybe not in winter.)
Oh, Lianna - I meant that I had to get back to work, not you!! So sorry!
We are pushed partners this week - will get yours to you tomorrow morning (about 12 hours from now).
Speaking of work - must get back to it!
