Out of outhouses

Another walk along my beach where I noticed the council has closed the public toilet. Just as well there are no visitors since lockdown. Currently there are 3 driftwood huts that have been constructed along the beach. Next week's high tides may dismantle these all.
Seems to be the thing to do - build these structures at beaches. Probably done before lockdown!

@maggiemae They definitely were before lockdown as there is no-one around apart from a couple of neighbours also wandering along the beach gazing longingly out to sea. No fishing, no boating, no kayaking and no paddle boarding. Its a bit sad really as the weather is perfect just now.

Now seeing this is very interesting as when we were in Whangamata once we saw one if these structures on the beach. I took a photo of it with e sea behind & made a canvas of it which hangs in the bedroom. They must be a NZ thing to actually have a name...I think it’s beautiful.
